There have been reports that The Eagle's website (www.theeagle.com) is infected by a virus. The virus works by asking visitors to download a file, disguised as security software, which installs a virus on the user's computer. Networking and Information Security is investigating this problem and will post updates.
Update:
A representative from the Eagle has said that the virus threat on www.theeagle.com is considered to be resolved. It is believed that the problems originated from a rotating advertisement provided by a third party vendor.

The Eagle has released a statement that its website is not spreading a virus. However, users are continuing to report problems when visting www.theeagle.com.
