Information Security Awareness Training for Faculty and Staff

All Texas A&M faculty and staff must complete Information Security Awareness Training annually. State law requires that institutions of higher education provide an ongoing information security awareness education program for all users of state-owned information resources (TAC §202.77).

The online training teaches you about information security, safe computing practices, and related policies, rules, and regulations. The training has five sections and usually takes about 30 minutes to complete all five sections. To get credit for the training, you will need to pass a short quiz at the end of each section. If you fail to complete the training, you will not be able to access state-owned computing resources.

We send email to a subset of individuals each week notifying them to take the training. Not everyone is notified to take the training at the same time. If you haven't been asked to take this training yet, you will eventually be notified within the next year.

To take the training, log in to the Single Sign On page with your UIN and password. Select "HR Connect", then click the "Training" tab.
